Description:
Opportunity for a team-oriented individual to be responsible for the detection and safe handling of sick cattle at our progressive South Feedlot in Broken Bow, NE.



This person will be responsible for:

• Being accountable for cattle health in assigned pens.

• Detecting sick or injured cattle in those assigned pens.

• Sorting off sick cattle into designated sick pens.

• Working closely with the Cattle Health team.

• Assisting in other areas, as needed.



Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

• Cattle handling knowledge and experience.

• Intermediate to advanced horsemanship skills.

• Knowledge of sick or injured cattle.

• Must be team-oriented.

• High attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal communication.

• Feedlot experience is preferred.

• Beef Quality Assurance experience.

• Commitment to safety and quality culture.



This position requires:

• Individual must provide three (3) head of horses.

• Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions, if needed.
