I have had one too many short term ranch hands/managers, and I am tired. I am looking for a serious person who takes pride in who they are as a person and their work. We are looking for a LONG TERM working relationship. With that being said.... We have a ranch that is 137 ares in the town of Georgetown TX, beautiful horse property just north of Austin. This is a family ranch that will soon become an Event Venue. We are a working ranch with horses and we do hay production as well. Soon we will be leasing out land for cattle. Down the road we would like to get into some lite rotational farming. We are looking to hire very soon, a ranch hand/manager that will work with the owner to keep this operation running smooth. There is a beautiful double wide on the property, that will have an extra room. If we like this person and feel we can trust them and their work...... we would like them to eventually live on site. At first we would like them to live in a surrounding town (Round Rock, georgetown, taylor, granger etc). Responsibilities: Mowing, Shredding, Weed Eating, Fixing Fences, Gathering downed Branches, Supervising/managing extra hired help, Clearing bridge of branches and trees at times (when bridge floods), manage properties hay production (land lease) helping to maintain cleanliness and organization in equipment shop, around the barn and property as a whole. Must have knowledge of and be able to handle Cattle/horses. Must be good/responsible with Equipment Operation and Maintenance. You will keep a detailed daily log of all work done Must be good with people and be able to act and present yourself as a professional. YOU: Must be a nice, honest, respectful hardworking individual who lives a life of integrity. You should be passionate about life and how you live it. As much as we would love to have a family working on the property, right now we are looking for a person with no attachments (spouse and/or children), we simply don’t have the space available at this time. WE: Are christian, conservative, kind, respectful, hard working and honest. We are looking to have someone become part of our family. WE TAKE THIS VERY SERIOUSLY and so should you. Hours offered at this time are 30/week at $15. When Living is offered, it includes utilities, except electricity. You would pay for your electricity We aren’t looking for just a hard worker but for a responsible adult who will care for the property as if it were their own. I will not micro manage you but you have to do you job. If you don’t, then we will find someone else.
