Please note: We currently are unable to provide residence on the ranch. Applicants must be aware that they are responsible for their own living arrangements. Ardmore is located approximately 15 miles from the ranch with substantial residence opportunities. We are a commercial cow/calf, horse and wildlife operation. This is NOT solely a riding job although we do use horses often for all cow work. Applicant must be knowledgeable and proficient with fencing, welding, tractor and skid steer operation as well as light plumbing, electrical, mechanic and construction labor. We pride ourselves on quality cattle and horses. Candidate will be a horseman with an eye for cattle and range conditions. We do not tolerate mistreatment of any animal. Candidate must have “class” about themselves as it pertains to their personality, attitude and the way they present themselves. Candidate will realize that no job is beneath them. Candidate must be hard-working, honest, trustworthy and a self starter. Applicant must be able to work under a fulltime, onsite ranch manager as well as in a team or individually. This ranch is well known for hiring quality individuals and taking very good care of their employees; we expect all employees to conduct themselves in such a manner that sheds a favorable light on ranch ownership and fellow employees both on and off ranch property. Employee will be provided a small string of ranch horses. Employee is responsible for maintaining and improving their string. Mistreatment of any horse will be grounds for immediate termination. Employee hog dogs will not be allowed on ranch property. Employee must be willing and skilled enough to successfully compete in occasional ranch rodeos and neighbor on other area ranches for shared labor. Employee will be provided a nice ranch truck for ranch use only. We provide a very competitive salary as well as an opportunity for health insurance and 401k after a probationary period. As such, applicants will realize that we are only searching for quality, long-term employees and reserve the right to be very selective in the hiring process. No smoking is allowed on the ranch.
