Description:
We have an opening for a full time, long-term equipment operator on our western South Dakota family ranch. We are looking for an individual who is willing to spend the majority of their time behind a windshield, and is not looking for a cowboy only position. You will be expected to help with the cattle operation as needed, however your primary duties would include:



Farming



Haying



Equipment maintenance and repair



Welding



Fencing



Irrigation



Feeding in Winter



This is not a management position; you will be expected to work alone, as well as part of a team depending on the job at hand. We are an employer who spends their time working with you on a daily basis, not managing from a distance. Experience with haying equipment and medium sized farm machinery is preferred. Experience handling cattle horseback is helpful. Knowledge on how to handle cattle quietly and with minimal stress is preferred. We do not tolerate drugs, smoking, or excessive alcohol. We will treat you honestly and fairly and expect the same in return.







Salary, beef and housing is included, horses may be discussed as well. Families are welcome.
