Description:
We are currently seeking a ranch hand for our performance horse operation just west of Houston, Texas. The job includes feeding, cleaning stalls, running the tractor, fixing fence, errands, and whatever else needs done. Horse experience is a must, as you will be riding everything from colts to show horses. (This is not a loping position; going to shows on a regular basis is not necessary.) A clean background check is also a must. Work is 6.5 days per week. Days off must be approved ahead of time. The position pays $300 per week and includes living quarters (single wide trailer), cell phone (basic call & text), utilities, Directv, and trash pick up. (This equates to approximately $2400 a month, so don’t send an email offering to work for more money or asking if pay will be increased. Not a good first impression and most likely the reason we haven’t responded to you. If the pay or circumstances don’t suit you, please don’t apply.) You must be clean cut, polite, respectful, and have an exceptional work ethic. Prefer someone single, but will consider a couple if the spouse plans to work off the ranch.
