Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Reports to Owner/family. • Work as a team with the Property Manager / Caretaker. • Management of ranch staff. • Plan ranch strategies for optimum yield. • Sales and marketing of livestock. • Range management / maintenance, including irrigation. • Cattle husbandry and medical care. • Horsemanship and horse care. • Inventory management, budget, record keeping, and monthly reporting to Owner. • Assist with facility and property maintenance tasks. • Other duties as assigned. Qualified applicant will have well-rounded experience in all facets of beef cattle ranch operations and be a business-minded manager with excellent communications skills and a “hands-on” management style. 10 – 15 years of experience in livestock handling, sales and marketing, ranch resource management, ranching for profit, and staff management required. Bachelor’s degree in agricultural business, ranch management, livestock and grazing management, or related subject required. Advanced degree in related subjects desirable. Experience in sustainable land stewardship and natural resource management desirable. Basic construction and property maintenance skills desirable. Computer literate. A high degree of motivation and the ability to perform in all the aforementioned environments is imperative. Applicant must possess the highest level of honesty and integrity. No tobacco, illegal drugs, or alcohol allowed. Pre-employment background investigation required. Ability to fluently speak, read, and write English required. This is a full-time position and eligible for housing and benefits after completion of introductory period. Salary will be based on demonstrated experience and skill level.
