Sandhills ranch in western NE is looking for a multi-talented individual wanting an adventure and a long term position. We are a progressive cow calf ranch and also have a 1000 head back grounding lot that is used to wean and feed calves. There are several irrigation pivots and meadows that raise most of the feed. Duties would include not limited to – Fencing, swathing, raking, hauling bales, fencing, working on water wells, mechanical maintenance, Calving cows, doctoring and working cattle, feeding cattle, chopping corn, driving trucks and fencing. We still use a horse once in a while, mostly 4 wheelers and side by side to move cattle. Most equipment fairly modern and in good repair. Need to be able to work alone or with others. Must have a driver’s license. A CDL would helpful. We welcome families but you have to want this way of live to thrive here. We live on a highway 40 miles to the nearest town.
