Ranch/Cattle Manager needed on a family cattle farm near Montgomery, Alabama. 4,300 acre farm with 2,000 dedicated to cattle/hay 2,300 acres dedicated to agriculture. 700 cow/calf operation; feed in the winter hay in the summer. 4 horses, pastures, row crops, fields and barns need to be maintained. Looking for a true ranch manager not a ‘cowboy’ someone willing to work all areas of the farm. Candidates must be mechanically inclined and have basic trade skills to maintain the entire farm. Total of 9 employees-3 dedicated to cattle and hay. Owner prefers hiring a family man and is willing to accept children and pets No domestic needs but if a spouse enjoys cooking or working with horses there is work available. Three bedroom house available and single family coverage health benefits. Salary 35-40K willing to pay what someone is worth depending on experience and education.
