Description:
Full time position, starting April 2013, for an ambitious, self-motivated individual or couple to work on a small 60 head purebred Hereford beef cattle ranch located on 160 acres just south of Coeur d’Alene Idaho. The ranch raises and sells registered Hereford cattle each year, including bulls, replacement heifers, and feeder steers. Successful candidate must have prior ranching and cow/calf experience.



Duties include:

• Operating tractor for winter feeding,

• Calving

• AI experience a plus

• Fencing

• Maintaining herd health

• Moving cattle on rotational grazing

• Spraying weeds and fertilizing pasture

• Hauling hay

• General ranch maintenance

• Routine vehicle & equipment maintenance and repair

• Working cattle (doctoring, castrating and branding)

• Other duties typical for a cattle ranch



Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Idaho driver’s license with a clean driving record, authorize and pass a pre-employment criminal background and reference check, work well independently.
