Rose Valley Ranch is a remote, beautiful mountain location in Northern Colorado. Staff have come back year after year and we enjoy getting to know the employees and helping to make their time worthwhile and a great adventure at the Ranch! When the owners are not on the property: Realistically, there is not a day-to-day routine. This is a multi faceted position. Each day you will be faced with something new whether it’s housework, yard-work, landscaping, or ranch-work. You may not be given specific tasks to complete each day, therefore you must be extremely self-motivated and flexible. Here are some general tasks you will most likely be completing weekly:  Hours 8:00-5:00 Monday-Friday when owners are not on site. When owners are onsite you will work through weekends with time off during the following week.  Clean cabins throughout property of dead flies, mouse traps, bird nests and an occasional dead bat. Must be able to get “down and dirty” to complete work.  Hand vacuum the pool every other day and check/adjust chemicals daily  Feed fish along the Laramie River  24 head of horses, experience a plus  Work with leased grazing cattle, and fence repair  Irrigate fields, pull out beaver dams, water lawn by tennis court, clean main house, guest house, and cabins. When preparing for owners arrival (25-30m days of summer):  Job focus on house readiness.  Hours: 8:30 am – approximately 8:30 pm or when the kitchen is fully cleaned / after dinner hour. For lunch and dinner assisting chef with food preparations and providing meal service. Time off between meals.  Time off between meals. Job is based on 40 hr week, comp time provided following week. Housing provided, as well as well as lunch and dinner when the chef is at the ranch. End of season bonus based on performance. Looking to fill 2 positions, couples welcome (at different rate)!
