Description:
Ruby is a two year old AKC registered Australian Cattle dog (also known as a red heeler).

Ruby is an energetic dog who is looking for a home that can use her energy. She would make an excellent running/hiking partner or could be trained for herding (she does have the drive) or trained for agility. We have an agility course and she has done really well learning a pattern. Ruby fetches and does some tricks. Her recall is phenomenal, she is always the first to come, no matter what excitement is occurring around her.

She is great with kids. And she has been raised around horses, goats, chickens and cats.

I have shown ruby in akc conformation shows, but it’s not her strong suit.

Ruby gets along well with all male dogs, and gets along with females after dominance/pecking order has been established.

She is seeking a new home where she will get more one on one attention. She is very in tune with her owner and really wants to please.

Ruby is genetically clear of PRA, PLL, and DM (the genes that cause blindness and hip issues in this breed). She has been BAER tested and has full hearing. She has had her eyes evaluated through CAER and they were clear/normal. She is a healthy dog.



Ruby weighs 42 pounds, she is about 18 inches tall. She has a slim, athletic build.



Ruby can be available with full registration for $1,500 or available on a spay contract for $500(could be a little negotiable to the right home).

She will go to an approved home only.



I can personally provide transportation for her until California in December, otherwise pick up in Cottage Grove Oregon,
