Description:
Looking for farm/ranch hand in Eastern Montana for a 400 registered Angus and commercial cow operation. Job includes feeding during the times when the weather requires maintaining the livestock, calving, breeding season, AI, fence repair, haying, machinery maintenance. We do no farming. Housing is furnished with utilities paid. We prefer a couple, so the employee has home company and someone to serve meals when needed. The companion is welcome to be included in outdoor activity if they wish to be. School bus route is 1/4 mile from the ranch buildings. The ranch is 10 miles from town with churches, school, hospital, courthouse, restaurants, grocery store, bank, etc. Cattle are worked with horses. Bring your own horse. We prefer no smoking, drug usage, or excess drinking. Wages are negotiable depending on experience. If things go well after a certain length of time, the employee can have some of their own cattle to keep with no pasture expenses to pay.
