Currently not running any of our own cattle, leasing our grazing out so minimal cattle work. A rounded skillset is needed with duties that will include: Operating excavating and farm equipment for day to day operations and for preparing a pivot expansion. Operating and maintaining a diesel irrigation pump during irrigation season. Working with gated pipe and flood irrigating during the growing season. Handyman work / property maintenance of buildings, fences and other facilities. Upkeep of all vehicles and equipment including cleaning and preventative maintenance and repair. Nice shop to work in during the offseason, Weed management through mechanical and chemical control. Owner is involved but travels a lot. Must be able to self start and self manage a good bit. There may be times when you are on the ranch without owner being around for up to a couple months at a time. We appreciate a great work ethic and a sense of responsibility for caring for and improving the property. 6 day schedule of 50-60 hours a week during growing season, Normally 5 day and 40-50 hours in the off season. Housing and utilities provided although the house is the in middle of being rehabbed and completing that rehab will be part of the job. No drinking, smoking, or drugs.
