The manager will be responsible for irrigating ranch fields and for all aspects of care and maintenance of the ranch fields, buildings, and equipment that support a summer and fall cattle operation (cattle at property from June through November). We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, hard-working, handy, safety oriented, and a self-starter-- able to take initiative to keep the ranch running smoothly and efficiently. This is a year-round position, which requires someone who doesn’t mind living in a remote location (one hour from Cody, WY), through all seasons. This position includes housing paid fro by the Ranch, including water, electric, and all utilities. Paid vacation, workers comp, health insurance contribution, annual bonus. Job Responsibilities: Spring, Summer, and Fall job responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to: --Set up all irrigation systems in Spring. Dranin and winterize irrigation system in the Fall. --Move Wheel lines daily, Pivots, Gated Pipe. --Work closely with Ranch owners and make recommendations for irrigation system improvements and carry out upgrade projects. --Monitor irrigation pond and pumps, address and fix any issues --Spray and remove noxious weeds --Maintain perimeter fence around private property --Check and maintain water troughs for cattle --Assist with cattle shipping and receiving as needed -- General building and equipment maintenance and upkeep Winter job responsibilities and special projects include, but are not limited to: --Clean and organize buildings and equipment storage shops. --Welding repair and enhancement projects for equipment, buildings, etc. --Carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs to ranch housing and buildings --Regular snow plowing of private ranch road REQUIREMENTS: WILLING TO LIVE AT THE RANCH YEAR-ROUND VALID DRIVERS LICENSE EQUIPMENT OPERATING ABILITY (SKIDSTEER, EXCAVATOR, BACKHOE) WELDING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED MECHANICAL APTITUDE STRONGLY PREFERRED ABLE TO MOVE/ LIFT/ MANEUVER UP TO 75 LB TO APPLY: PLEASE EMAIL YOUR RESUME TO wyomingranchjob307@gmail.com and include in the subject line of your email the job title: Caretaker & Irrigator - CCR.
