This guy is as cute as a button and is one of those "tiny but mighty" type of horses that knows what real work is but is gentle for everyone. Amarillo is a ranch gelding that’s been used all over. He was primarily used in Arizona catching wild cattle down by the border. He has also been used for trail rides and to tote less experienced people around as well. Amarillo is very sure footed, knows how to work a rope, is a smooth ride even in rough country, and will not leave you hanging if you’re in a bind out in the pasture. Older intermediate/experienced kids have ridden him but no smaller beginner kids ever have just because he moves out naturally just a touch too fast for most beginner kids depending on their confidence level. He would make an excellent step up horse for kid to further their riding ability or just continue to use him as an all around ranch gelding. Amarillo is traffic safe, not spooky, and quite literally will go anywhere you point him including under overpass tunnels with traffic zooming across it overhead. He has been hauled to numerous different places including indoor arenas and is the same horse both in and out of the arena. Amarillo lunges both directions, stands to be groomed, saddled, bridled, and mounted. He loads/unloads without any issues and hauls like a charm. Amarillo is sound in every way but does breathe louder than most horses and has his whole life. He has been scoped by a vet and no trauma was found anywhere. He is simply a loud breather but it has never affected him at any time even while being used hard out in the pasture. Located in Weatherford, Tx.
