The property is the home to approximately 50 boarded horses and 20 – 30 head of cattle. Located near the town of Hudson Colorado and a short drive to amenities. Individuals applying for this position must be self-motivated and take pride in their work. Applicants must have experience with horses and be familiar with their feeding/care needs. This full-time position will require 5-6 days per week and in all weather conditions. Interpersonal and customer service skills are a must. Special consideration will be given to individuals with the ability operate/maintain equipment, weld and general property maintenance/repair. This is a salaried position with pay dependent on experience and housing needs. Potential housing options available and RV Hookups if you have your own. Duties Include but not limited to: - Daily feeding and care of 40 – 50 horses - Catch and handle horses for vet and farrier - Feeding and care of small cattle heard - Some pen cleaning - Facilities maintenance and repairs - Operate and maintain equipment - Welding and Mechanic work - Fencing repairs - Mowing and weed trimming - Road grading - Cut and split wood - Provide customer service to client horse owners - Provide direction and manage part time employees Applicants must be willing to work long days at and have the ability to lift 100 lbs. Must have valid driver’s license and be able to pass a drug test. No heavy drinkers and don’t bring drama. Hoping to find an applicant looking to settle into a long-term position.
