Description:
Silver mounted, hand engraved spade bit by renowned bit and spur maker Robert M Hall. The shanks have a full silver overlay of silver and a Jewelers bronze floral overlay on each side. The 5 1/4" mouthpiece is a traditional spade with two rollers. The shanks are 7 1/4" long. Comes with a great pair of Hall’s hand made rein chains. The inside of the left shank is marked RMH 792 and JOLON on the right shank. I believe that the 792 is the date made, July, 1992. R M Hall operated his shop in King City California from 1945 to 1984. He then gave classes and wrote his book "how to make bits & spurs". He passed in 1996.
