Description:
Seeking part-time, seasonal, or a full-time position. Let me know what niche you are needing filled on your operation.

I am seeking a position for a short time or a long time, dependent on what you need. I have just completed my masters degree in wildlife biology at Oklahoma State University that is only the cherry on top of my long list of accomplishments and experiences. My expertise is in equine care and training. I have ridden/competed/shown horses in over 15 different disciplines. I have been professionally trained in everything from cutting to dressage to ranch pleasure to three-day eventing and more. I am highly trained and experienced with rehabilitation, sports therapy, maintenance, breaking, training, loping, alternative medicine, nutrition, health care, emergencies, and more. I have years of experience as a large animal veterinary technician as well as certification in equine massage therapy, multiple world show buckles and national placings in various equine events. I am extremely proficient, self-sufficient, and a self-starter. I require absolutely no babysitting and I can work directly with you to form a plan for your operation or assist in on-going methodologies. If it has something to do with horses I can do it. My weaknesses are in roping, and I have not been formally trained for high-load pack strings. These are my only weaknesses with horses. If there is a gap in my knowledge it will be filled quickly with your guidance. I am a quick learner and very keen.

Outside of my equine expertise, I am a skilled hunter and outdoors woman. I can complete the full process from locating/stalking an animal, to harvesting, gutting, skinning, processing, quartering, and procuring an extremely palatable 4-course meal from said animal. I am very proficient with a knife and scalpel and have many years of taxidermy, meat processing, and hunting under my belt. I have hunted from Arizona to Africa.

My primary career experience outside of these "hobbies" is wildlife conservation and management. I have both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in wildlife biology related fields. I have worked with endangered species to game animals, I have much experience with meso-carnivores, ungulates, birds, bats, and more. I have extensive knowledge of GIS, R stats, ArcMap, radio telemetry, and more. I have literally done it all and worked biological jobs from California to Maryland. I have worked with exotics, I have done wildlife rehabilitation, wildlife relocation, hunting preserve management, wild horse & burro work, fatality surveys, and more. I am actively applying for federal and state positions as a wildlife biologist, but with the uncertainty of COVID19 effects and government positions I am keeping my career options and plans open.

I am a strong and diligent worker. There is almost nothing you can’t ask me to do. I can fix fence, assist in calving, work cows, doctor cattle, predator control, trap feral hogs, alpaca care, de-worming, necropsies, euthanizations, saddle-break horses, deliver foals, drag the arena, reptile breeding, dog handling, taxidermy preparation, skinning, etc. I am not just a ranch hand though and I am also an excellent front-man for potential clients and guests. I am very professional and have presented at many a National conference or professional meeting. I am respectful and cheerful at all times. I greet life with optimism and joy for the work that I do. I love to have purpose and a job. I am intelligent, compassionate, friendly, diligent, and determined. I will be an asset to your operations and have many references to back up all of my claims and statements.

For those requiring live-in positions: Employers must be okay with my 2 dogs. Both are well trained and UTD on all vaccines and have ranched with me since their birth. They are both ESA canines. For live-in situations I will also will bring my own horse, possibly 2 if needed (White gelding in my pictures comes with me, I also have 2 other horses of my own that are with my family).

I know my worth and expect respect and serious offers. I have been highly disrespected due to my appearance, gender and age and I have a zero tolerance policy for disrespectful behavior directed towards me. IDEAL positions would be located in Colorado and/or pay $2500+ per month. I am open to other states for the RIGHT position however. I am also partial to Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Please email me for my current resume, you’ll want to see it. I have one for my equine career and one for my biologist career. You can also find me on LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/dailee-fagnant-008462127/
