Description:
This is an unmarked very early Visalia Stock Saddle Co. spade bit. This bit is featured in the 1925 Visalia Stock Saddle Co. catalog. All of the silver is intact and finely engraved most likely by Gutierrez. It has a 5" mouthpiece and a 3-1/2" spade. Bit is 8-1/2" long. This bit came from the estate of Richie Morgan. Richie was a horseman and working cowboy all of his life in California. Beautiful piece of work and is totally usable. The pics didn’t pick up the engraving on the conchos as they are worn. ’JW’ is engraved on the conchos, possibly the owner.
