Description:
This hackamore was custom made for the original owner from the 1960’s by Ortega. Back in the ’60’s, they had horse shows in Del Mar Calif and this gentleman would purchase an Ortega piece every year from him. The hackamore is made of latigo which is softer than rawhide. It is pliable and not stiff. It is 5/8" thick with a rawhide core. It has a 3/4" sorrel horsehair mecate and a Jimmy Flores Sr. hanger. Beautiful piece by the master braider.
