ALCC began in 1945 as a small dairy farm on 300 acres east of Broken Bow. Today, ALCC remains family-owned, but has grown into a multi-location operation with finishing lots in Nebraska and more than 100 backgrounding locations throughout the US and Canada. Seeking a self-motivated individual to be a part of the Feeding/Mill team at our South Feedlot, located in Broken Bow, NE. This is a great opportunity for a punctual and responsible individual who enjoys operating equipment. This person is responsible for: - Operating the pay loader in a safe manner. - Delivering precise rations accurately and efficiently. - Understanding the feed ingredients and proper handling techniques. - Reporting and recording all feed audits. - Performing basic preventative maintenance, including replacing bits and changing oils and filters. Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications: - Mechanical interest and aptitude is beneficial. - Understanding of proper bunk management. - Commitment to safety and quality culture. - Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making. - Driven, organized, action-oriented, analytical, and ability to multi-task. - Individual must be team oriented. - Proven professional communication, presentation, and customer service skills. - High attention to detail. This position requires: - Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. - Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; 25-50 pounds of force frequently; 10-20 pounds of force constantly. Standing and sitting frequently; walking, carrying, and lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, crawling, stairs, reaching/handling/grasping, and kneeling/crouching occasionally.
