Description:
We are a small operation with a small herd of cattle, sheep and chickens, there is about 65 acres of pasture, we do farmers market to sell our meats and we do vacation rental with 5 guest houses. So it is not a typical cowboy-on-horseback type of work. We are looking for a couple or an individual who love animals and can help on the ranching/farming/livestock part of business while we focus on guest service that is a vital part of the entire operation.



Summer season work will be longer hours and extended day. Yet it is a great lifestyle if you like living the ranch/farm life. Fully furnished home for the ideal person. Please email us @ sharon_wangpp@yahoo.com if interested.



Key responsibilities include but not limit to the following:

• Pasture management: Ditch maintenance, Seeding on pasture when needed, Marking, disc and harrowing the field, Hay cutting & bail hay, putting up hay.



• Manage & grow livestock: about 20 cows, 40 chickens & 100 sheep



• Operate and maintain ranch equipment & tools including but not limit to tractor, ATV, chain saws, generators, water truck, farm/ranch implements…etc.

• General upkeep: fencing, welding, weeding, maintain overall ranch environment





Ideal candidate needs to have

• Prior experience either on flood/gated pipe irrigation, cattle operation, low stress handling, and tractor work.

• Must be honest, responsible, self-motivated, hard working, organized, attention to details, willing to learn, willing to do physical works and be kind to animals and guests.

• Handyman skills will be a big plus.

• Background check, drug test required.
