Looking for an opportunity! I am a dedicated, hard working, and punctual family man. My family and I have independently cared for all aspects of a 650 head cow/calf secluded ranch for 16 years. I have always weaned large healthy calves, committed to the well-being of the cattle, and take pride in maintaining ranch assets and facilities. I have cared for yearlings in the past on other ranches. I enjoy doing most of my work horseback with my family at my side. For references and a full resume please call!

• My family and I took care of 550 to 690 head of cattle independently

• We rode herd on cattle keeping gates shut and fences up on a reservation,

checking health, and herding to parts of pasture not utilized

• We rotated pastures accordingly

• We calved cattle outside dealt with any issues by roping (backwards calves, tail

first calves) or brought to barn if needed (suckling calves) and dealt with bear

kills

• We doctored bulls, cows, and calves outside

• Scheduled brandings, preconditioning, and weaning- shipping

• Built new fence to make livestock utilize grass better

• Kept salt and mineral out

• We fed big square bales flaking hay off of flatbed trailer pulled by tractor

• Maintained vehicles and facilities- changed oil in lawn mower, side by side, and

tractor used for rotary mowing- blew out filters and checked fluid levels

• Swept shop and barn daily, mowed lawn and shop grounds, weed eat around buildings

• Calved cows outside, tagged calves

• Processed cattle using a bud box

• Herded cattle rotating pastures

• Rode fence lines fixing fence from two elk herds, built new fence

• Doctored sick cows, calves, and bulls outside always putting out salt and

mineral

• Hayed weaned calves with a team of horses

• Rode herd on yearlings doctoring and moving

• Rode herd on cow calf pairs doctoring and moving

• Calved out cows and heifers

• Flake off hay in winter

• Put out salt and mineral

• Rode fence lines and fixed broken places

• Rode cattle for sickness, doctoring when necessary

• Fenced repairs and new construction

• Fed utilizing a bale processor

• Operated swather, rake, and baler putting up hay

• Consistently put out salt and mineral

• Cared for thousands of yearlings during winters of ’03 thru ’05 received, processed, and put out to pasture on grass or wheat fields.

Rode herd, doctoring any illnesses, and rotating pastures.
