Description:
Performance horse program in central Texas looking to for add a new person to the team. This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a performance horse program that has past success and now building a breeding program with some of the industries best bloodlines. Candidate will be responsible for multiple aspects of horse care and management.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to -



Managing and evaluating feed program.



Keeping feed, tack, and veterinary equipment organized, stocked and quickly accessible.

Keeping barn, outside pens, and all horse working areas tidy, organized and safe.

Keeping detailed veterinary and breeding records of all horses.

Ability to medicate and doctor injuries in horses.

Have and maintain a clean driving record

Be able to haul trailers with horses to vet on a regular basis

Be able to handle foals in a proper manner

Able to recognize sickness/ injuries in horses herd

Keep equipment that is used in your job clean,tidy, serviced and in a good working order

Possess an open mind and be able to receive criticism well while being able to adapt to a specific program





Candidate must be a self starter, organized and be able to manage their time and job independently. Horse and trainer are involved but often offsite therefore candidate must be able to remain efficient, hardworking and trustworthy independently



Candidate must understand that ranching doesn’t always have set hours. This is not a 9-5. We give paid time off however it is not a position where someone expects to clock in and out at the same time daily,
