Description:
Boz are effective and capable LGD’s. One Boz can take the place of two Pyrenees because they are bigger, faster, and stronger. They guard and fight effectively against large predators. They have short thick coats that require little maintenance and do well in both hot and cold climates. Our Boz currently guard primarily against wolves and bears. Both parents of this litter are proven LGD’s. The dam was imported from Turkey and the sire is from recently imported bloodlines. The sire is 33.5" at the shoulder and about 175 pounds. He is fast, athletic and an excellent fighter. He guards sheep and has also been trained to prevent trespassing. The dam is 32" at the shoulder and about 160 pounds. She is a good guardian with all animals: cattle, goats, sheep, and poultry. She is a gentle but firm pack leader with other dogs, and an accomplished fighter against predators. She is people friendly. The pups are currently exposed to both sheep and chickens and are showing great instincts. They should be athletic and above average size. Both parents are registered with the Turkish registry, World Anatolian Dogs, and the pups can be as well. The pups were born on November 6, 2023 and are looking for animals and families to guard.

I offer the following optional procedures: ear cropping and hormone sparing sterilization (vasectomy/ovary sparing spay). Ear cropping is an additional $600, and is recommended for areas with wolf predation. Hormone sparing sterilization is recommended in place of the more common neuter/spay procedure, as it prevents obesity and lowers the risks of bone and blood cancers. Pricing is $800 for a vasectomy with or without ear cropping, and $1100 for an ovary sparing spay with or without ear cropping.
