Description:
Family seedstock operation seeking experienced ranch hand to assist with the care of their ranch and cattle located in western Nebraska near Bridgeport. Duties will include normal ranch tasks including the daily care of a spring calving cow herd, processing cattle, operation and maintenance of feeding and haying equipment, fencing, etc. Applicant will be expected to assist in heat detection during breeding season, night checks on calving heifers, be physically able to weigh and tag calves, diagnose and treat sick animals, employ low stress cattle handling techniques, and keep calving and processing facilities neat and organized. ATVs are used extensively in this operation. Applicants possessing other skills such as carpentry, welding, CDL, and mechanics are encouraged to apply. Housing, utilities, and monthly wage furnished. Opportunity for spouse to work hourly depending on ranch work and skills. Resume and work references are required.
