It is marked Hunt and his brand a joined 7 and H on the back of the buckle. David is a well-known bit and spur maker and has been building for over a decade. David is among the select group of spur makers to provide spurs for the Texas Style Bit and Spur Makers Association Woman’s Protective Services auction along with other top makers. The buckle is steel with a dark iron finish and is mounted with engraved nickel silver. There is engraving in the steel around the mountings. This would make a nice headstall buckle or would also work as a chap belt buckle.
