My background is in Field Operations and Project Management at Google along with UAV operations for the U.S. Army in austere environments across the Middle E ast and abroad. Have experience riding Western reining style. Can clean horses, pick hooves, feed, brush, saddle and turnout Attend lots of rodeos to network as much as possible. I have a good amount of fabrication, mechanical and some electrical experience while working at Google in CA. Lots of trailering (tactical, utility and fifth wheel) experience and heavy duty equipment knowledge. Licensed to drive heavy equipment in the Army (Humvees, HEMMT) and have worked with forklifts and high-reach boom-lifts. It’s possible to use a drone and fly it for finding cattle and other areas of interest like irrigation, right-of-way inspections, encroachment, etc. I have a lot of experience with utility services like this as well. The Field Operations role including launch and recovery ops for the Google high-altitude balloons. My role consisted of driving the equipment out to the field (usually 5-6 hour drives out to Utah or Nevada) and then track the balloons until it lands. Generally, this included extensive days in the field hiking/camping and using vehicles to recover the downed balloons. My motivation is to work on a cattle ranch as a Pasture Rider/Cowboy/Ranch Hand. Although I grew up riding horses on a small family ranch in North Carolina and all around Southern Arizona while in the Army. I’d say I’m quite green but learn very quickly. I’m reliable and a hard worker. I’m trying to learn as much as I can through books about soil and cattle management including vaccination, spotting health issues, castration, low-impact/low-stress cattle handling, etc. I’m very motivated to get into the industry.. I also still possess a SECRET security clearance and CPR/First Aid cert as well. And have been trained in Animal/Human tracking in Ft Hua chuca, AZ (Sierra Vista area), Honorable Discharge Currently in Northern CA with my wife. Resume and references available upon request.
