Description:
Shasta is an extremely flashy black and white paint mare, 9 years old and 15 hh. Grade, so no papers and no pedigree. She has a beautiful long mane and tail and the smoothest trot and rocking horse lope ever. Shasta is an excellent trail horse and has also carried a flag in parades. She has absolutely no buck, rear, bite or kick, even if not ridden regularly. She is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. Shasta has an easy oone handed neck rein, rides quietly on a loose rein, and will go up, over or through anything you point her at. She is laid back and prefers to be slow, but will easily trot and lope when asked. Shasta rides just as good in the arena as she does in the pasture. She has been ridden by lots of kids so she feels her job on the trails is to stay with the group, but she is not barn sour and an adult can easily make her ride off on her own. Shasta is excellent for the shoer, stands quietly tied, and is easy to load and haul. She is not mareish and can be turned out with mares or geldings with no problem. Asking $2500.
