He is a sweetheart on the ground, loves attention, and is a "get on and go" gelding. He is safe for kids and beginners. He has excellent ground manners, stands for grooming, excellent for the farrier, and stands for mounting/dismounting. He is great in the arena- picks up his leads and has a VERY smooth canter, neck reins, moves off of leg, side-passes, opens/closes gates, and is a delight to ride all of the time. He is also "cowy" and knows how to work. You can gather, tag calves, brand, or doctor something outside. He stays quiet while sorting cattle at the gate and is overall a nice using gelding. Would be ideal for a kid, mom, or older person to ride and use on the ranch. Outside he moves out nicely at a ground covering walk. He does take his time through the thicker, rougher terrain. He goes thru water, swims, rides bareback, and goes out alone or in a group. He is not a "spooky" horse in general and doesn’t get excited about much. He is very laid back and goes with the flow. He has a smooth trot and canter, and doesn’t argue or get upset if the rider is less than advanced. He just tries to figure out what you want. This gelding is a gem.
