She is everything you could ask for in a trail horse: the perfect size at 14.3hh, with tons of color and shape, good minded and quiet, very nicely broke and fun and fearless out on the trails. Splash is a 10 year old paint mare, with a friendly disposition and an excellent handle. She has a beautiful long mane and a pretty head with a kind eye. She gets along great with other horses in the pasture and does not ever act mare-ish. Splash has been used as a trail horse her entire life, hauled to many different ranches and state parks throughout west Texas for overnight and multi-day rides. She has an excellent one handed neck rein, stops easily, and is good on both leads. Splash can really travel out in the pasture, and will go up, over or through anything you point her at. She is not spooky, and will cross water willingly, go through thick brush, go over logs, and rides fine at night. She has good hard feet and was barefoot her entire life until we bought her, but since we are so rocky we put shoes on her in the front. Splash is uncomplicated to ride, and has never tried to take advantage of her rider. She has plenty of go and can ride all day long without tiring of you want her to. Splash rides quietly on a loose rein, content to walk all day long but will willingly step into a trot or lope when asked. She will leave the group willingly and will happily lead or follow. Splash has been ridden along side the road and in traffic and is not bothered by it. Splash has excellent ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul, and shoe. $3500.
