He built bits and spurs for over thirty years and each item is completely made by hand. It is marked Dixon outside one cheek piece and numbered 361 inside the other cheek piece. The bit is steel with a natural patina. The bit is not bent, broken, or repaired. There is some rust build up, marks on the mountings, and a little play at the hinges but it has a lot of life left in it. This would be a nice bit to use or to add to a collection.
