He is gentle enough for anyone to trail ride on and athletic enough for any type of ranch work, including branding calves, pasture roping, crossing ditches, gathering cattle off the mountain, moving cows, etc. We have roped the Heel-O-Matic off of Chester and will use him for calving, doctoring and branding all spring. Chester is sure-footed and is a pleasure to ride with his fast walk, smooth trot and rocking horse lope. He is laid back if you want him to be but will step up to any level you need while remaining level headed. This is the horse that we let anyone ride that comes to trail ride or move cows, including beginners. You can ride him in any type of bit or hackamore on a lose rein all day long. He has a long, lean neck, a kind eye and is structurally correct. He is easy to catch, shoe, clip, wash, and trailer load. Ride him every day or every couple of months.
