Description:
This cute little guy has so much going for him! He is that good cowboy color that everyone loves, with tiger striping on his legs and shoulders (it’s hidden by the last of his winter hair), he’s gentle and quiet, and he has more shape than any other 2 horses put together. Bandit is 8 years old and the perfect size at 14.3hh, stout enough to carry a man but low to the ground and easy to get on, with a big hip, pretty head and neck and plenty of bone. He is very quiet with excellent ground manners, the type of horse that will follow you around the pasture and beg for attention. Bandit has mainly been used as a big circle horse, to push cattle, ride pastures and check fence. He enjoys working cattle and does pretty well in the sorting pen, although he has not been roped off of. He has the smoothest little trot you could sit to all day long, with a nice rocking horse lope. Bandit is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He is not a fan of arena riding, but rather prefers to be ridden outside. He has a good handle and backs up properly, and really wants to get his butt underneath him when he stops. Bandit has a good foundation and is just waiting for someone to finish him out in whichever direction they choose, whether it is back to the ranch, to the trails as a pleasure horse, or even to the sorting pen or obstacle course. He is extremely good minded, and doesn’t mind carrying, dragging or stepping over tarps or carrying a flag. Bandit rides quietly on a loose rein and is content to walk quietly all day long if you prefer. He will never go any faster than you ask him to, and while he will lope if pushed he prefers to be slow rather than fast. Bandit can be ridden by himself or with other horses and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. He is extremely gentle on the ground, has good ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe.
