Brand new hippo Boots handmade for a Saddleshop by a maker n TX. The maker of these boots however, was not Mercedes boot co. It was a good bootmaker and these r good boots. Iv also been informed, as i put a first ride on a colt earlier, that Mercedes boot co. rarely makes hippo boots but when they do, they will cost as much as a good ranch horse. These r sum tough Boots. Hippo is a tough hide second only to elephant. So if u cowboy for a living and make the kinda money i do, and r lucky enuf to wear a 9 D, don’t go in debt financing a pair of boots, save urself a couple grand and buy these boots made from the exact same kind of hide from me, and spend the rest on a horse, or tack, or fuel, entry fees, or another cow or two for ur herd. There is only one kind of hippopotamus. These boots might be made out of a piece of the same hide as another makers. Unless ur wanting them made from an albino hippo. Then ur SOL and ur just gonna hav to bite the bullet and go mortgage ur home or sale ur trailer if u want em that bad and go pay about 3 grand for ur white hippo boots. Most anybody that’s went to buy a pair of real hippos or elephant no matter what brand, they will usually start around $500’and go up. This store was goin out of business so i bought a couple pair for lil less than half of their retail. I’m wearing a pair and passing another pair on for what I paid which is $350 shipped n lower 48.
