Description:
“Paul” 2013 Red Roan Gelding. Here is a big, pretty red roan! We started this gelding as a three year old, along with his half brother Peter. Paul was the more Christ like of the two so we put him in our saddle string. This gelding is very aware of the job at hand. He has spent a lot of time in rough country doctoring cattle, this previous summer he spent majority of his time in the Big Hole of Montana doctoring yearlings. Paul is familiar with all types of terrain, from rock covered mountains to wet grassy bottoms. He is very talented when it comes to anything of the ranch. He stands 15.3 and can sort with the best of them. This gelding has no problems chasing skylines all day and running to cattle, he has stamina. For a horse his age he has accomplished more jobs and been tied off to more cattle then a lot of older seasoned geldings. This gelding even made a pack trip into the Frank Church Wilderness this last Fall. He has covered many miles outdoors and in the feedlot. Paul’s pedigree is attached, however he sells grade. We owned this geldings dam and his sire came from the well known Leachman Cattle Hairpin Cavvy program, because of this we were never able to get a breeding report signed from the stallion owner.
