Salary: DOE : Highly Competitive Room & Board: Housing Provided Phone #: 406-600-2551 click to view fullsize image Description: Looking for a Ranch Hand on a large Bison Ranch in the Sandhills of Nebraska! Duties Include: • Development and maintenance of ranch buildings, fences, corrals and water sources. • Move/Handle Bison. • Safely operate and maintain farm and ranch equipment. • Perform general ranch work. • Use chemicals to assist with weed control. • Watch for fires during storms /fight fires in the event of one. • Vaccinates livestock by placing vaccine in drinking water or feed or using syringes and hypodermic needles. • Safely operate tractor with various attachments. • Safely operate ATV & UTV. • Participate in Ranch Safety Program. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Livestock care and handling experience preferred. Heavy equipment operations preferred. ATV/UTV experience preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must possess a valid Nebraska Driver’s License or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment. Driving record must meet the standards and requirements of the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles and the Company’s insurance carrier. Other Qualifications • Must adhere to Company and Ranch policies and procedures, which are included in the Employee Handbook. • Must present documentation establishing both identity and employment authorization within three days of hire, pursuant to federal law. • Must undergo pre-employment drug test, (after offer is given but before applicant has commenced work). Random drug test are given throughout the year. • Must have a personal vehicle to travel from ranch location to local town for personal needs. • The Company operates as a drug-free/ smoke-free workplace. Smoking is not allowed on the ranch property, to include but is not limited to; ranch housing, ranch vehicles, ranch offices or on ranch machines.
