He is solid and stout standing just between 14.2-14.3 with a nice big hip and shoulder to match his solid pedigree full of athletes; Special Effort, Sun Frost, Poco Bueno, Otoe, Peppy San Badger and Mr Gun Smoke. Gunner has a lot of speed and power but also has a lot of WHOA. He is a finished arena horse and has not been shown but knows all the reining maneuvers; spins, sliding stop, easy flying lead changes, etc. He is a started heel horse but not finished, has roped the heel-o-matic, live cattle out of the box and has been used for sorting. He has a ton of natural cow sense, is quick on his feet and catty, and would make a great rope horse, cow horse, ranch riding, ranch versatility or cutter. While he is athletic enough for performance in the arena he is also a great trail horse and will ride out alone or with others. You can ride him down the street with traffic, open and close gates on him and pack down the trail with your dogs; he will even let a dog ride double if they get tired. Solid down the trail with bicycles, quads, dirt bikes or hikers and has no issues crossing rocky terrain, water or obstacles; puddles beware he loves to splash in them! While he will pack a beginner around the arena or down the trail he is better suited for a more experienced/advanced rider. Did I mention he has a personality? We like to call him Mr. Personality (or the class clown), he is a people’s horse a dog’s horse and a horse’s horse. He loves his companions, attention and play time. He is free entertainment to anyone that will watch and loves to play with toys, balls and tires. He knows his name, comes when called and if he really likes you he will even answer back. He has excellent ground manners and will stand tied all day. He can be ridden every day all day or sit for months and is the same horse when you hop on his back. No buck, rear, kick or funny business if he’s been sitting for a while. He is currently shod all the way around and is good for the farrier. He is sound, current on shots, worming and just had his teeth floated in November. Vet checks are welcome at the buyer’s expense. Seven Thousand.
