I am a 27 year old female looking to relocate to the mainland from Hawaii. I come with a nine-month old Blue Heeler/Airedale X and am looking for long term live-in employment. I have years of western riding experience but am comfortable riding English if asked to. I have been a wrangler at a variety of different trail outfits in CA, CO, and HI; and would possibly consider another wrangler position if it were the perfect fit. I am ideally looking for an entry level vet assistant position at an equine vet hospital, where I can gain experience and further my education, to eventually become licensed. Secondarily, I am interested in finding a position in managing a boarding or training facility. I take pride in caring for horses in all aspects of ranching. I have a strong attention to detail, can spot lameness, am comfortable wrapping hooves, icing legs, giving medications, and assisting in veterinary procedures. I am an honest, hard working female, who always puts the horse first. I am very interested in cutting horses and would love to dabble in that once I get settled. I’m comfortable around all breeds and sizes of horses and am hoping to move to Texas and start a career.
