The Furry family is looking to relocate to your ranch to put our skills to work! My name is Alissa, I am currently working as a General Manager at a local coffee shop. I started a little under two years ago as a Shift Supervisor and was quickly promoted to Assistant Manager within seven months. Less than a year later, I received another promotion to General Manager. At the coffee shop, I am in charge of all aspects of running the business including inventory, ordering, hiring, training, and general day to day operations. I am highly organized and am known for following the standards laid out for me and holding others to these standards. However, all of my experience is not in hospitality and service. I also work at Grazing Acres Farms, a local cattle and buffalo farm, as a farm hand. I help in all aspects of the farm from daily feeding and general farm maintenance and cleaning to seasonal processing and fence repair. During my time at Grazing Acres, I have learned how to drive different types of skid steers as well as later model John Deere tractors. I have hauled full loads of round bales from the field and pulled implements during hay season. My passion lies in agriculture, as does my education. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Crookston with Bachelor’s degrees in Animal Science with a focus on beef cattle and Equine Science, as well as a minor in Agricultural Business. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two horses honing my thirteen years riding experience. Michael is a Marine veteran who has been working at a road construction sign company doing maintenance and repair of electronic traffic control systems for the past two years. He has gained valuable experience welding, fabricating, and problem solving on repair jobs of all kinds. Michael also has experience with tractor, skid steer, and vehicle repair from wiring and preventative maintenance to body and engine repair. He also possesses an extensive collection of quality tools for jobs of all varieties. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Crookston with a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources and Aviation. Michael has also worked at Grazing Acres helping with feeding, fencing, hauling hay, and property maintenance. His time at Grazing Acres and his current job have given him experience with skid steers, tractors, and trailers. We are currently located in Minnesota, but are willing to relocate to Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, western Nebraska, or similar locations. We are willing and eager to spend the time between now and spring learning whatever skills necessary for the job. At the moment, I am learning how to rope and Michael is constantly improving his welding skills. We both have experience with firearms including rifles and handguns, Michael from his time in the military and myself from his teaching. We would be ideal for a ranch looking for a couple to handle all aspects of ranching from maintaining property to caring for animals to office work. We love working outside and find the greatest joy in a hard day’s work. We have no issue with secluded settings and are a very low maintenance couple. No smoking, no drinking. Our family does include two wonderful, well behaved dogs named Suzy and Milo as well as two horses, Dixie and Ganix. Thank you for taking the time to read about us.
