Pictures were taken at an angle to minimize reflection. They are marked PRC on the outside of the heel bands and numbered 408. Pat Ray Castleberry is from Whitesboro, Texas and began making bits and spurs in 1996 and is now a full time maker. His work is exceptional and highly collectible. He is listed in Bits & Spurs Motifs, Techniques & Modern Makers by Ned and Jody Martin. The spurs are polished steel and are mounted with twenty six pieces of nickel silver. The steel is engraved on both sides of the rowels. These spurs would be nice to use or add to a collection from a very collectible maker.
