Description:
"Tyger" is a beautiful 6 year old buttermilk buckskin gelding.

He is a registered AQHA Appendix Quarter Horse. He is a little over 15hh tall and weighs around 1200lbs. I have owned him since he was a yearling. He is a really quiet, friendly horse. Super easy to catch, trim/ shoe, haul, etc. I started him the fall of his 2 year old year, and have ridden him in rotation pretty regular ever since. He is really soft in the face and collects up nicely. Stops with your seat. Backs, side passes, turns around, takes his leads, opens gates, and hobbles. The last three years I’ve used him on a big ranch to; gather in rough country, rope and tag calves in the spring, drag calves in the branding pen, doctor all classes of cattle outside in the pasture. Ranch rope indoors. He will work a rope when you’re on the ground. Have used him to sort pairs in the open, sort in the corrals and I started heading and heeling out of the box on him in the arena this summer. He has been roped off of extensively. He can be ridden all day and is used to working for a living. He is really easy to get along with. All that being said he is not an amazingly athletic horse. He can run but is not an overly fast horse. He’ll ride out, go where you point him and has a solid foundation, he’ll watch a cow, rates well and has a pretty nice handle. I use a lot of leg on my horses and try to stay out of their face other than a tip of the nose. I have taken my two and one year old boys for short rides with me on this horse and led him around with my two year old on him by himself. All in all he’s not a finished horse but he is well on his way. This horse has A LOT of eye appeal with that rare buttermilk color, all black points, good bone and four black feet. He could go in any direction from continuing as a ranch horse to being a trail horse or finish making him a rope horse. Don’t miss out on him! Call or text me with any questions or to talk about him.
