Description:
We are looking for a full time, long-term ranch hand for our diversified family ranch. We need someone who can turn a hand at almost anything. Our focus is cow/calf and bred heifer development with an irrigated hay operation to feed them. This job entails everything from calving heifers to changing water in an irrigation ditch. Most of our cattle work is done horseback with four wheelers used to check cattle and fence. Our pastureland varies from the open plains of Montana to some fairly rugged country on our Black Hills forest permits. Our cattle are bred to take care of themselves as long as we provide the nutrition, so a large percentage of our time is spent dealing with hay, putting it up and feeding it out, as well as keeping up pasture fences to keep cows where they belong. Our equipment is modern and in good condition and we value someone who is willing to keep it in good condition. We believe in handling our cattle quietly and slowly, so good stockmanship is also valued.







This is a multigeneration ranch, we are not looking for a manager. We are looking for an ambitious individual to join my wife, father, one employee and myself. We need someone who can be trusted to work alone or as part of a team. Experience is preferred, but we are wiling to do some training as well. Families are welcome to apply. We do not tolerate drugs, smoking, or excessive alcohol. We will treat you honestly and fairly and expect the same in return.







Salary, beef and housing is included, horses may be discussed as well.
