Ronnie is a well-known bit and spur maker from Enid, Oklahoma. Ronnie’s work is illustrated in Bits & Spurs Motifs, Techniques and Modern Makers by Ned & Jody Martin. The bit is marked Jones and 14 on the port. The bit is steel with a natural patina and is mounted with six pieces of engraved nickel silver and two engraved copper domed conchos. There are copper inlaid stripes on the back of the bars. There are some marks from use, a little bit of rust build up, and some wear at the collars but it has a lot of life left in it. It is not bent, broken, or repaired. This would be a nice bit to use.
