The owner of this property maintains a commercial hunting operation while continuing the family traditions on the ranch. The foreman/couple position being offered is suited for a hardworking, driven and experienced couple to maintain the ranch and lodging to the standards of the owner and guests. The ranch and lodge are well maintained and manicured year round for comfort and aesthetics. The owners live off site but frequent the ranch weekly during the hunting season. As the Ranch and Facilities Foreman for this property, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the ranch with the owner. The tasks include but are not limited to: • Record keeping of ranch activities, fuel and feed logs, supply lists, equipment repairs and petty cash balance • Tractor operation • Shredding roadways and senderos • Brush clearing • Vehicle and tractor maintenance and upkeep (Fluid changes, air filters, washing ect…) • Check rain gauges • Lawn Care and landscaping • Exterior lodge care and interior checkup (light bulbs, appliances working ect…) • Fire wood collection and stacking • Trash take out • Filling Water troughs on ranch and DMP pens • Maintenance on water lines and troughs • Maintenance and filling of corn and protein feeders • Check and fix interior and exterior fencing • Run snares on exterior fencing • Check steers daily • Feed cattle • Blind maintenance Lodge and Lawn Care Keeper: As the lodge and lawn care keeper you will be responsible for the interior maintenance of the lodge. The tasks include but are not limited to: • Cleaning the lodge interior and exterior • Washing towels and linens • Establish grocery list and maintain inventory • Changing light bulbs and air filters • Stocking and supply of cleaning supplies • Helping with the lawn at times Qualifications: • Previous ranch hand experience • Vehicle Maintenance • Tractor work • Water systems Please send resume and references to graingerranchrecruiting@gmail.com with Eagle Pass as the subject line.
