Description:
This is a really nice new handmade rough out buckstitched split ear headstall made by Brandon House from Elm City, North Carolina. It is marked with his maker stamp Rafter 2H Leather. The headstall is made out of heavy duty skirting leather and is buckstitched with brown lace leather. It is lined with latigo and stitched around the outside edges. The edges are beveled and hand rubbed. The headstall is 1” and tapers to ¾” at the buckle strap and at the bit ends. The bit attaches with lace leather. The buckle was made by bit and spur maker Stephen White from Plainview, Texas and is marked with his maker stamp on the back. It is steel mounted with nickel silver. There is engraving in the steel around the mountings and wheat stalks engraved between the mountings. The buckle is attached to the headstall with latigo lace leather. This would be a really nice headstall to use.
