48 Angus cross heavy bred heifers for sale. Average weight is over 1,000 lbs. Calves due starting in January 7 through 5th of March. 28 were settled by artificial insemination to ABS Rockmount, 20 were bred by registered Angus bulls from 44 Farms and Lone Star Angus. All sire’s EPD’s in top 20% of breed for calving ease, low birth weight, high weaning weight and high yearling weight. Several lots of calves born in Jan-Feb 2015 to heifers bred to these bulls sold in the Noble Foundation’s Integrity Beef Alliance preconditioned sale in December, 2015. Steer calves averaged over 760 lbs and heifer calves averaged almost 740 lbs! 18 months ago, we calved out 135 heifers bred to these bulls and only lost five calves, which is less than 3.7%! Hips measured on all heifers and those with narrow pelvic measurements and spirited dispositions were culled. Tested PI-BVD negative. Heifers’ DNA information also available. Heifers are broke to electric fence, uniform and very calm around people. Pregnancy confirmed last week by vet, certificate provided at shipping with bill of sale. Call
