Description:
This is a pair of handmade spurs made by the late Jerry Cates in unworn condition. They are marked CATES 4384 Mr. Cates was recently posthumously honored by the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum with the Chester A Reynolds Award for his contribution to the preservation of the legacy of the American West. He is listed in both spur books by Ned and Jody Martin. The spurs are steel with a dark iron finish and are mounted with twenty eight pieces of nickel silver and two pieces of brass. There are marks on the spurs from handling shown in the close up pictures. This would be a nice pair of spurs to add to a collection.

Measurements: Heel Band Width 1 ⅛”, Shank 2 ⅜”, Rowel 2 ¼”, Rowel Points 8, Heel Opening 3 ¼”, Weight of Both Spurs 1# 7.4 oz.
