This individual will assist the Assistant Cattle Herdsmen and Herd Manager in the daily management of all livestock at various locations. Duties: Work cattle at various locations, repair fence, help cut and bale hay, mow pastureland, haul cattle and light equipment. Requirements: Required 2 years post high school employment verification. Required livestock experience within the last 10 years. Must be able to work cattle on horses and pasture rope if necessary. Should be able to drive ATV. A working knowledge of cattle including: doctoring, weaning, feeding and working. Must be able to build and repair fence (net, barb & electric) Preferred: Tractor operation experience. Hay baling experience. All Employees Are Required To: Be insurable to drive company vehicles and must pass a physical. Pass a background check. Be able to work with other employees and managers. Be able to work a physically demanding job and in all types of weather. Be a self-starter, dependable and work varying hours. This job often requires early morning work times. Additional Information: This position is based near Kenefic, Oklahoma. Small house and basic utilities (electric, gas, water) provided. Employee must live on property. Employee must be flexible on work schedule. This position demands employee to float between properties to work where needed. A company vehicle will be provided for this purpose. All tools and equipment deemed necessary to perform work duties will be provided.
