The ranch is remote and over 55 mile from basic services, with a school bus pick-up at the front gate. This is a full-time permanent position that offers Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, 401k after 90 day assessment period, two weeks paid vacation after one year, and a modern 3 bedroom/ 2 bath home with electricity and water provided. This position is for a ranch foreman. Some of the responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following. -Organize and communicate daily routine and work projects for 3-5 ranch hands -Maintaining ranch facilities and informing manager of any maintenance or repair issues -Keeping manager informed of feed usage and needed supplies -Working and checking cattle horseback, on ATV, or on foot -Putting out liquid feed, mineral and salt for cattle -Working with horses and assisting guest riders -Cleaning horse stalls -Placing hunters in blinds and some guiding -Skinning, processing and filling out paperwork on harvested game -Filling, repairing, maintaining game feeders -Maintaining, cleaning, and repair of blinds -Repairing, clearing, and building fences -Mowing and maintaining lawns -Working on windmills, submersible pumps, and solar pumps -Repair and installation of water troughs and extensive pipeline systems -Repair of corrals and chutes -Basic welding -Equipment and vehicle maintenance -Operating tractors and heavy equipment -Operating 16 ton bobtail feed truck (CDL is a plus but not required) -Cleaning ranch trucks inside and out weekly Must pass a back-ground check and maintain a driver’s licenses. Must be able to communicate through written English and email. Being able to speak Spanish is a plus but not required. No indoor pets and only two dogs or cats. Two broke geldings are allowed per employee and are maintained at ranches expense. Ranch employees only hunt at the end of the season after all guests groups are done for the season, cull management, and meat. We work long hours 6 days a week. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and doesn’t cut corners. There is always room for advancement within the ranches. We also have part time work for spouse.
